A well-balanced, bitter yet malty German ale this beer is clean and smooth with nutty flavours and a rather dry finish. It’s so refreshing it’s a good thing it comes in bigger bottles!

The Altbier style is a good style to start with if you?re looking to take the leap from standard lagers to a darker, fuller-bodied beer. While it fermented with ale yeast, due to the relatively cool temperatures of the D?sseldorf area the original altbier conditioned at temperatures close to that of lagers?a method that is used to this day.
